Alien Trespass and Billy Jack Heading to Blu-ray

Image Entertainment has announced they will be bringing two more titles to Blu-ray Disc in August, including a comedy and an action-packed classic western.

August 11, 2009 will bring the release of Alien Trespass (SRP $35.98) day-and-date with the DVD release. The 2009 sci-fi comedy set in 1957 chronicles a fiery object from outer space that crashes into a mountaintop in the California desert, bringing the threat of disaster to Earth. The disc will feature a 1.85:1 transfer with English DTS-HD High Resolution 5.1 sound.

On August 25, 2009, Image will release Billy Jack (SRP $24.98), also day-and-date with the DVD release. This 1971 film about a half-white/half-native American ex-Green Beret who ends up caught in a battle between the students of the peace-loving free-arts school in the desert and the oppressive bad guys in a nearby town is chock-full of action. The disc will include a 1.85:1 transfer and English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio.
