Eagle Rock Entertainment today announced the release of 7 new Blu-ray concert releases for June and July of 2009, continuing their support of the Blu-ray format and helping to build the format’s base of strong concert video releases.
B.B. King: Live At Montreux 1993 will see release on Blu-ray & DVD June 2, 2009 The DVD and Blu-ray contain a 16-song set with the Blu-ray having an exclusive three-song bonus (“Why I Sing The Blues,” “When Love Comes To Town,” and “Guess Who”) from his Montreux appearance 13 years later in 2006 at the age of 81.
On June 30, 2009, Eagle Rock will release Ted Nugent: Motor City Mayhem on DVD, Blu-ray and a 2-CD set.
The show, from July 4, 2008, celebrated Nugent’s 6,000th show at the DTE Energy Music Centre in Detroit.
July 7, 2009 will bring the release of Jamiroquai: Live At Montreux 2007 on Blu-ray. The concert of the British funk, disco, acid jazz, soul, pop, electronic, rock, group was Originally released on DVD in October 2007.
On July 14, 2009 Eagle Rock will release The Black Crowes: Warpaint Live on Blu-ray. The title was previously released as a 2CD set on April 28 and DVD June 30.
Also coming in July is Quincy Jones: A 75th Birthday Celebration on 2-DVD and Blu Ray with the release date to be announced. Featuring performances by Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Chaka Khan, Lee Ritenour and many others.
