Howards End Voted Next Criterion Blu-ray Release

criterionc

Last month, Amazon.com and Criterion offered Amazon customers the opportunity to vote for the next Blu-ray release from The Criterion Collection. Today, Amazon has announced that Howards End is the winning title and will be released from The Criterion Collection later this year at an SRP of $39.95.

The 1992 Merchant Ivory film stars an all-star cast including Anthony Hopkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Emma Thompson, and Helena Bonham Carter and is based on the E.M. Forster novel. The story explores class distinctions in turn-of-the-20th-century England.

Although no release date has been set and technical specifications are as yet known, the Howards End Criterion Collection Blu-ray release is already available for pre-order at the online retailer’s site for $29.99.
