BDA_Logo

According to a recent article from Video Business, studios will be releasing more titles with Blu-ray and DVD packaged together in an effort to make the fledgling high definition format, now heading into its third year, more appealing to the  masses.

Following the example of Walt Disney, who pioneered the practice with their Platinum Edition release of Sleeping Beauty and will do the same with the March release of a Platinum Edition Blu-ray+DVD release of Pinnochio and October Blu-ray+DVD combo release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, MGM, 20th Century Fox and Lionsgate will all be releasing Blu-ray+DVD combo titles in the coming months.

Slated for release are 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s  Marley & Me, MGM Home Entertainment’s The Princess Bride,  and Lionsgate’s T2 (Terminator 2) Complete Collector’s Set.
