The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 50th Anniversary Chain Saw Edition — Overview

Estimated reading time: 7 minutes

Tobe Hooper’s 1974 cult classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has reached its 50th anniversary and now Dark Sky Films has given the film a premium edition packaged release in a gorgeous new collectible set. Coming housed in a chain saw replica and now featuring Dark Sky’s restored 4K restoration (previously reviewed here on their SteelBook release) on 4K Ultra HD as well as a new fully-restored Blu-ray as well as VHS (!) copy of the film, this is one gorgeous and fan-worthy set. Only 5000 copies of this set have been made, so hurry up and order one if you want one.

The 4K & Blu-ray Feature Film discs include the same previously available audio commentaries:

Dark Sky Films has loaded this release with a ton of bonus features, many previously released, but well worth owning and watching or listening to anyway.
