In Ant-Man, Paul Rudd finds himself fighting big crime at the size of an ant. The film’s action is helped along by Dolby Atmos the immersive object-oriented technology where, as Dolby puts it, “audience members are immersed into a new world that is small in size, but large in sound.”
Dolby has offered up a behind-the-scenes video featuring director Peyton Reed, composer Christophe Beck, and writer Adam McKay, along with several key characters from the film including Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangeline Lilly, as they discuss the overwhelming importance of sound within Ant-Man.
“Ant-Man Micro-Tech Challenge”
Hope Van Dyne, played by Evangeline Lilly in Ant-Man, is a talented, capable scientist who is truly a force to be reckoned with. Inspiration from this character led Dolby to team up with Marvel, Visa Signature, and Raspberry Pi to host the “Ant-Man Micro-Tech Challenge”. The contest is aimed at inspiring girls between the ages of 14-18 to find the superhero within themselves through the creation of micro-technology based on do-it-yourself projects.
